During rotation welding, the heat required to plasticise the contact surfaces is generated by interfacial friction between the two parts of the moulding. The part to be welded on is set in a rotational movement while the second part is fixed and prevented from rotating. A reproducibility of the positioning accuracy of 0.5° is possible in the fixed production cycle.
Materials:
Polyamides with in some cases high glass fibre contents, reinforced and non-reinforced polyolefins.
