A metallic component (insert heater element), e.g. wire ring or punched part, is placed between the parts to be joined and heated contact-free by means of electromagnetic energy. Simultaneous pressure of the parts to be joined against one another results in an intensive fusion of the parts. The insert heater element remains between the two joined parts and can be reactivated for a later separation of the parts.
