GEIGER Automotive has many years of experience in the production of intelligent tanks. Thanks to the proven production technology, even complex components with a high degree of integration can be manufac¬tured. GEIGER Automotive produces windscreen washer reservoirs by injection moulding or blow moulding, on request also with heater elements, filling level sensors and pumps.

Field of application and function

• Feeds the windscreen washer system with fluid and can signal the momentary fluid level to the vehicle driver.
• Depending on the design, the reservoir supplies fluid to the front and rear screen washers and to the headlight washer system.

Application conditions and specific demands

• Has to withstand temperatures between – 40° C and + 90° C.
• Has to withstand a defined freezing test without damage.
• Must be resistant to a large number of media (e.g. windscreen washer additives, alcohols, brake fluid, paintwork polish).
• Reservoir must exhibit a defined resistance to stress cracking

Materials

• Upper/lower section, screen and pump bracket are made of polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP).
