Brake fluid serves to compensate the wear of brake pads and discs. The reservoirs used to hold this fluid are very complex components in hydraulic brake systems with a direct connection to the main brake cylinder. The clutches of vehicles with manual transmissions also draw the necessary hydraulic fluid from these reservoirs. GEIGER Automotive developed the first welded brake fluid reservoir as long ago as 1972. With a market share of almost 50 percent in Europe, the name GEIGER Automotive stands for competent, timely project handling and vast experience in series production.

Materials
Reservoirs are generally made of polypropylene (PP), with polyamide (PA) and polyethylene (PE) among others also being used for individual components.
Various metals and so-called reed contacts are used for the warning system (level switch or sensor).
