GEIGEReco² is based centrally on the protection of the environment and the conservation of resources. This naturally also includes the employees and our working environment. The unity of quality management, environmental protection and safety at work is visualised through an integrated management system. We feel an obligation to not only comply with the statutory regulations, but to constantly strive for improvements in order to achieve results going far beyond this target.

Each of our locations practices active environmental protection. All wastes are collected and analysed in order to permit a segregation of the different types and a return to the material circuit. A closed-centre water circuit for cooling of the equipment minimises the consumption of drinking water due to evaporation. A heat recovery system on the compressors and the feedback of the recovered heat into the heating system also reduces the external energy demand and the CO² emissions.

In clear target definitions and regular inspections, the Executive Board gives the manage¬ment a clear order to achieve further optimisations. The awareness of the employees for environmental protection is heightened and their environment consciousness strengthened in regular training courses. This allows our ideals to be not simply limited to the company, but also environment consciousness to be firmly anchored in the private lives of our employees.

The exchange of information and the cooperation between the departments through the new integrated management system have led to systematic improvements. The protection of the environment is taken into consideration from the very beginning in all new developments or when changing materials and processes.
