The competence centre for injection moulding technology is established at the Murnau plant in Bavaria (area 17,000 m²). Here, the company focuses on the further development of the gas injection (GIT) and water injection (WIT) technology, thereby integrating the many years of experience. The serial production of a broad range of products is just as much a part of the day-to-day business of the 50 injection moulding machines with mould clamping forces between 20 and 1,300 tonnes. In order to be able to profitably produce widely differing number of parts, GEIGER Automotive designs the optimum production layout for each product. The development of new joining and assembly techniques also forms a major aspect of the striving for innovation. The company employs, for example, hot gas welding to meet the ever growing demands to cleanliness of the products.
